Available in the licensed frequency bands from 6 to 80GHz and supporting capacities from 10Mbps to 25Gbps the Pasolink VR platform is an advanced, flexible and converged split-mount solution, designed to deliver high-capacities, advanced topologies, flexibility, and networking intelligence.

The Pasolink VR platform is used in a variety of applications, including high-capacity mobile backhaul for public, private and public safety networks, defence, energy and transportation sectors.

Offer high bandwidth and data rates that enable point-to-point communication with fiber-like capacity but will less dependency on third parties. These are often used where fiber is not possible or economic, where the terrain is not suitable or when link or topology redundancy is required for critical infrastructure.

Licensed Microwave linking ensures no interference, reliable connectivity and capacity, ensuring critical communications is always available for public safety, utility and mission critical networks.  Links are designed with a capacity in mind that is available 99.999% or more, and these are often used in Public Safety Networks along side LMR (UHF and VHF) radios to provide connectivity for emergency services.

Point to Point Licensed linking

The Pasolink VR series can be configured for minimum power use but still offering over 1Gbps of throughout through a single path, perfect for solar sites where every watt of power used is critical.  Simple switches, lower power RF and careful design can ensure big connectivity with a small power requirement. Modern Microwave radios now use a host of techniques to increase the capacity across link with the use of advanced modulation techniques such as 4096QAM, header compression and adaptive modulation.  The high system gain of the Pasolink VR series has enabled many operators in NZ and the Pacific to build longer links or simply deliver more capacity at higher availability.

High-Capacity wireless links

Microwave radios offer a cost-effective way to extend the reach of fiber, or where geographical features make fiber not possible or feasible, all you need is line of site and power. The flexible architecture can offer critical networks alternate paths to key sites and to avoid fiber choke points such as bridges and common ducts.

Last Mile Connectivity

Why choose Pasolink:

A Flexible Architecture for all deployment needs
The Pasolink VR platform uses common RF Outdoor units that can be combined with Indoor or outdoor switches with customer interfaces to offer true flexibility in the way sites are built.

High Capacity, Frequency Efficiency and Carrier Aggregation

The Pasolink VR platform supports modulations to 4096QAM, channels to 112MHz, and dual channels from a single Outdoor Unit. This enables 2 x 112MHz channels and 2.4Gbps through a single ODU, with XPIC this enables 4.8Gbps links with 2 x ODUs.

High Switch Capacity

The inbuilt 100 Gbps non-blocking switch capacity ensures robust network handling capabilities for dense traffic and complex network topologies.

Network Flexibility

With a diverse range of features and capabilities, to support network scalability, redundancy and deployment applications. The Pasolink VR supports module redundancy, Independent TDM and Ethernet ring protection, dual capacity rings with MSTP/ERPS, and diversity for path protection all to ensure maximum network availability and uptime.

Legacy TDM Support

Pasolink VR supports both TDM traffic (E1, STM1) natively on a traditional cross-connect backplane, and using pseudowire emulation (PWE3) to allow operators to support critical low-latency legacy services and a smooth migration to all-Ethernet/IP.

Advanced TDM and Packet Synchronization

The Pasolink VR has Full Synchronization support, including Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE), TDM (E1/STM-1), adaptive clock recovery (ACR), Radio, IEEE1588 (Transparent clock (TC), Boundary clock (BC)), and external clock signal.
